THB Tropical Island

Second year in a row coming back to The THB Tropical Island in Playa Blanca and we had another brilliant family holiday. We booked directly with hotel this year and the process was stress free and got a great rate as a returning customer. Payment was through the THB payment portal and no deposit was required so you could pay the day before arrival if you wanted. Main pool was closed for repair works for a few days when we arrived but the other large pool was open so there was no inconvenience. We had a poolside room this year which was lovely as the smaller pools are heated and its great to be able to sit down by your room and relax while keeping an eye on kids while they are playing in the pool. We went all inclusive and it is well worth it with 2 young children. Great selection of food every day, all fresh and great quality. BBQ Ribs and freshly grilled steaks were some of the standout items. Our boys loved the kids club as well. There is a new team of entertainers this year and they are all lovely especially the girls in the kids club. They got on great with the kids and made everything great fun. There is a team of gardeners and cleaners who are constantly working around the site to keep the place spotless. Garden areas are beautiful and cleaners came to room every day and made beds and gave a clean around. Again all very professional and efficient. So all in all a great holiday and we will be back again. Thanks THB Hotels

Just returned after 7 days self catering as a family of 2 adults a 16 year old, 12 year old and a 2 year old, and we absolutely loved it here. The staff are super friendly (huge shoutout to the worker who saw me and my son sheltering from the rain under a tree and he brought a bin bag over to us to cover the pushchair and then came back with one for me to put on as a poncho, I wish I had time to get your name because it was such a kind thing to do so thank you) but all staff were super nice. The kids pools were perfect to paddle around in, the main pool was cold to get in but not toooooo bad once you were In. The older kids entertained themselves on a night playing football with friends they made. We never made it out to see the evening entertainment so can’t comment on that, nor can we comment on the food apart from the pool snack bar (we like the pizza and chips but not a fan of the chicken nuggets. Takes approx 15 mins to walk to the beach which had lots of nice restaurants (highly recommend spice island and the Italian job) also a very nice coffee shop on the way into town called cappuccino (they do amazing ice cream and cakes) Our room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and was always spotless. Good size balcony’s. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a late flight so found the showers really useful and nice reception area to wait. Oh one thing to mention, if you have little ones and want an enclosed balcony email the hotel and ask for a second floor room, all of the ground floor rooms have a terrace with no fence so I know our little one would leg it at any given opportunity 😂 We used the kids club everyday (not to leave little in but to go in the kids club area with him (soft play, toys, drawing, crafts, he LOVED it!) and kept him out of the sun for a short part of the day. The staff I saw in there were great with the kids. The aqua park was really good and the second one which looks like it’s never on (you just need to ask a member of staff / life guard to turn it on And they then radio maintenance who come and turn it on and it comes on for 10’mins then off for 10’mins on a timer. We loved how much greenery there was around the complex and the little boules area was lovely, also 5 mins down the road which was super handy ☺️

Have just returned from an 11 day family holiday at Tropical Island. There were 10 of us ranging in age from 6 to 76 and we all thought the holiday was great. Rooms were clean, comfortable, well maintained and the location right beside a small pool was ideal for us. We were all-inclusive and found the food at all meals was of a good quality and variety which suited all ages. Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed the entertainment available at the Dome every night for children and adults. Our grandchildren especially liked the magicians and acrobats. When we were there, the refurbished big pool was reopened and all the family made good use of it. Our 3 grandsons attended the football academy for 5 full-day sessions which was a big highlight of their holiday. A special thank you for this must go to Ella the coach who they thought was wonderful. The adults in our family made good use of the Sports Bar ( thanks Laura ) and the Dome Bar (thanks Jaime). While we found all staff to be very friendly and helpful, special thanks must go to Patricia. She helped us find our rooms when we arrived very late at night, ensured everything was well with us throughout our stay and efficiently resolved a small problem we had on our last day. Thank you Tropical Island for a memorable holiday experience.

The hotel grounds is huge with 15 pools a gym supermarket splash park and main pool with slides. However on our stay unfortunately the main pool was been renovated ready for a busy summer although we didn't stay disappointed for very long the rest of the hotel grounds and staff entertainment Made up for this every single member of staff I spoke to or asked for help of was always more than happy to help and with a smile on there face from front desk reception all the way through to the cleaners the hotel is in a great location 10 mins walk to the beach or 3.5 euros in a taxi we look forward to returning very soon with friends and the main pool up and running.we were self catering we did use the on site restaurant a few times and the food was nice and fairly priced again staff was friendly and more than happy to assist. Shout out to the pool guard aswell everytime we passed he always said hello and was always smiling same to the lads in the supermarket on site friendly service smile on faces good bit banter fairly priced aswell get some good bargains in there. Overall we can't recommend this place enough we stayed in room 601
