Ikos Olivia

Second time holidaying at Ikos with 2 young children having previously visited Ikos Dassia, Corfu. This was truly a 5 star experience (despite a small issue with a leak travelling from bathroom/wetting suitcase and clothes) but everything else made up for that and we were blown away. Ikos Olivia has a similar high end feel to it, fabulous team who work here, and work hard. However, it's not without its faults which I think Dassia maybe didn't have. - Booked the complimentary tesla to explore area outside resort. Told to come down at 10 next morning- no record of car being booked. We weren't able to secure another free car for duration on trip - Beautiful room and view but bathroom not as modern as before and no plastic bags for any bins, no bin in main living area of hotel room , just in bathroom and bedroom. Food waste like wrappers, banana skins needed to be disposed in bins in bedroom or bathroom.. - A good few plates and room service items collected outside rooms (including a plate of half eaten dessert for 2 days!) which aren't collected by general cleaning staff, it must be a separate team who collect these, as they were frequently in stairwell when these items were there/left after them - Food is largely excellent but least favourite meal was in French restaurant, lengthy delay in main course coming out and unsurprisingly the fish I ordered was completely over done and I didn't finish it. Didn't find staff member to be particularly concerned when I informed them, offering only to top up my wine. Our son's fish was lovely however, no issues. - I can't commend the workers enough, particularly those in Flavours buffet. Special mention to Jenny and Constantina for being so lovely and helpful. - The kids club and creche are brilliant. So too is the playground. Hair salon is a welcome haven to visit,lovely girl working there -The entertainment in beach bar is great. Talented musicians playing popular hits, old and new and right on the beach. Beautiful furnishings and textiles paired with beautiful lighting and olive trees, you couldn't fault it. We would return for sure, but maybe Dassia has the edge

I spend 75% of every year in a 5-star hotel all over the world with my job. The last thing I want to do on my time off is travel but of course my family do. I’m planning an extended family holiday in 2026 so I was looking for all inclusive holiday experiences that would suit all ages. This was an experiment in advance of the whole family trip. My husband and two teenage kids - we have been spoiled and stayed in some fab hotels all over the world. I have to say - IKOS Resorts are my new favourite place to go. The week started with average weather and I thought Ho hum - this could be a boring week. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The staff are brilliant (Petro and Thanos from the Deluxe pool) and so accommodating and friendly. Nothing was difficult and they were so helpful. We haven’t had a bad meal or a bad experience. We did everything - the spa, Tesla rental car, water sports, dinner on the beach, basketball and tennis, bike riding, gelato and food when ever you want it. Teenage kids are super happy - parents are super happy. I think I put on weight this week I ate sooo much food. Just to clarify, I don’t write reviews and I stay in hotels for 3/4 of the year. We/I had a fantastic time. It was great value for money, the service was fantastic and we will definitely come back. Thanks IKOS Olivia.

Yes it’s expensive and yes it’s becoming even more expensive based on our 2025 price for IKOS Aria but WOW! From the moment your private transfer arrives and you walk through the doors the beautiful experience begins. The smells throughout the hotel are like walking into a spa. Everywhere is spotless, the staff are amazing (ALL OF THEM), any mistakes are dealt with professionally and promptly. It won’t take you long to realise that it’s worth every penny. The food in every restaurant was of the highest quality. It really was like eating in a fine dining establishment 3 times a day. My only complaint is unfortunately with other people who live in an entitled bubble of self importance and lack any manners. I wish the staff would be given the power to “politely” ask people when dining not to stick iPads in front their kids on full volume as it spoils the beautiful ambience. I have kids so know full well how challenging it can be but I cannot believe the amount of people who carry out video calls to friends back home on full volume and let their kids run about without keeping an eye on them. The hotel is for everyone guys not just you and your little “Magnus” or “Magenta” The service we received from poolside was top notch. “Jenny” was sooo helpful and worked so hard. It took several days to get a decent rum and coke though as I kept getting either flat coke or diet. You only get white rum unless you are deluxe. Would be nice to get the Havana 7 and I did ask on several occasions. Beach area was great. Free paddle boarding, pedalo and canoes. The jet ski hire wasn’t cheap but very fast and again, an amazing experience. The activities company at the end of the beach were amazing and recommended the most amazing boat trip we did which was one of the most beautiful experiences we have ever had as a family. Full day Kavourotrypes Beach trip with Lux Sea Cruises was simply heaven. White party on Friday is great fun and cool tunes from the DJ and saxophonist. The buffet and evening bar areas are the most amazing place to chill after your meal and meet friends and let the kids play on the beach. Don’t miss out on your day with the Tesla. We explored some of the campsites with facilities down the Sithonia peninsula and the hotel gave us the most amazing packed lunch with anything we wanted. Wraps, donuts, fruit, wine, water etc. What a great way to explore the area. The buffet was the best we have ever experienced at any hotel. Extremely varied and plentiful. If you can get someone to look after the kids then take advantage of breakfast in the adults only breakfast restaurant which was amazing. Overall it is simply one of the best resorts we have ever experienced so we booked IKOS Aria on Kos for 2025. Price has gone up considerably though! It might still be worth it for unparalleled luxury and gold standard service from amazing staff!
